Recipes

My Mom and I were wanting some different recipes from around the family and realized we should all just upload them onto this blog. :) Could everyone share some of their favorite recipes? We forgot which of the parmesan chicken recipes Sherri shared from the book. We would also like the Jarman's rolo cookie recipe and their Grandma Jarman's waffle recipe because we just can't seem to find either of them. We would also like Michelle's salsa recipe. Justin would really like to bake some Shauna cookies but he doesn't have the Shauna. (or the recipe)

Anyways, it would be great if everyone could post and request some recipes. We will be posting our meringue recipe soon. We would love to have a collection of our family recipes online so we can find them at any time.

Mac and Cheese!

Today Ruthie taught me how to make homemade mac and cheese, so I wrote up the recipe – with step-by-step pictures – to share with all of you. It's Nick's favorite dinner, and if he likes it, you should, too!

Winter at Bear Lake

Since most of you don't make it to Bear Lake in the winter, I wanted to share this with you. As you can imagine, it is pretty nasty and cold here in the winter, but every once in a while when every little branch on the trees gets covered with frost, it is just so beautiful against the blue sky and lake. We've had lots of days like that this week and one evening it was just so beautiful with just a hint of pink from the setting sun, I decided to take a picture. This is just off my back porch. So, I'm sharing it with all of you. Enjoy! (P.S. This is my very first post to a blog ever! I'm so proud!)

Tonight we had a final family gathering before Steve and Alma/Mom and Dad/Grandma and Grandpa leave for their mission to Vermont. Some of us decided that it would be a good idea to have a blog where everyone can post the latest news, pictures, videos, stories, events, etc. as well as links to personal and family blogs and photo galleries. I am sending invitations to join the blog to at least one person from each family. Please email me back with the email addresses of any spouses/children who would like to be added so they can post, too. Send me links to your blogs as well and I'll add them. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them as well as I can!

Good luck, Grandma and Grandpa! We love you very much and will miss you. Thanks for all that you have done for our families and for the example you are setting for us.
